Engineered Garments Spring Summer 2020

Engineered Garments are, as the name suggests, engineered rather than designed. The precision and craftmanship that goes into each piece is a creative construction, rather than simply good design.

The brand has been a staple at Envoy of Belfast for over a decade, and with every passing season, EG continues to inspire and intrigue us further, all while staying true to their signature utilitarian workwear style. Based in New York, under the direction of Japanese designer Daiki Suzuki, these tried and tested workwear classics are deconstructed and reimagined with an air of exuberance and flair.

This season sees the return of one of Engineered Garments most recognisable prints – Hawaiian Floral. Think Tropicana meets industrialism, and you will be met with some of the most eye-catching pieces for Spring/Summer. Even patchwork gets a summer reworking, featured in the soft silhouette dresses Engineered Garments is renowned for. Floral denims and patterned jackets take centre stage in our collection, and team perfectly with accessories such as the Olive Cotton Ripstop Tote Bag and the Upcycled Chambray Bucket Hat. Pattern doesn’t dictate the collection, but simply and effectively pushes Engineered Garments into new and exciting territory. The Black Combi Suit feels fresh and effortless and the BD Navy Shirt Dress will be worn long after the summer sun has faded. The overall feel for the season is functional yet fun, purposeful while playful.
