Acne Studios

Ambition to Create Novel Expressions (ACNE) began in Stockholm in 1996. The following year its co–founder Jonny Johansson produced 100 pairs of jeans for his friends and family, establishing the brand. The clothing is part of a wider art collective presented in its bi–annual magazine Acne Paper. Their collaborations have ranged from jewellery to bicycles. These diverse influences provide subtle inspiration for their collections. The apparent simplicity of their design hides complex construction and delicate manufacture.
