World of Charles and Ray Eames
The current ‘World of Charles and Ray Eames’ exhibition at the Barbican evidences the couples place amongst the most important designers of the 20th century. Working under the principle of providing ‘the best for the most for the least’ they transformed and expanded the role of design in contemporary society. Their own home is a manifestation of their commitment to design, function, form, play, taste and material.
