Margaret Howell SS18
“Good design is about living with thoughtful style.”
Margaret Howell’s spring summer collections demonstrate everything we have come to expect from the label - functionality, use of heritage British fabrics and a simple, minimal aesthetic, designed for living in.
These values are mirrored in her selections as guest curator for the Tate Edit. Japanese glassware from Fresco Studio and Toyo-Sasaki Glass feature alongside mid-century favourites Anglepoise, plus hand-woven placemats from Northern Irish design studio Mourne Textiles.
‘I like well-designed and good-quality things, but they’ve got to be useful, and they have to work. My clothes are meant to last. And all that applies to objects, too.’
