The dyeing process in Azumadaki, which has been in use for 300 years, is carried out in small vats by skilled artisans. They take into consideration the temperature and humidity of the day. This small-scale dyeing process, followed by sun-dying, results in unique textured fabric, giving a soft and relaxed feel.
