Henry Cuir

Founded by artisan Henry Beguelin in 1998, Henry Cuir bags are hand made from start to finish in his factory in Vigevano, Italy. Henry learnt his craft as an apprentice to the local saddler in his home town in Switzerland. Sourcing all of the vegetable dyed leathers locally in Bologna, every piece is stitched together with thick waxed linen thread and embroidered with one of his signature playful icons.

Henri takes inspiration from the everyday - nature, human interactions and daily rituals. The connection between the past and the present is a tangible force in each Henry Cuir bag as the processes and rhythms of production leave a trace of the craftsmanship and time required.  Each bag can take between five hours to three days to complete and are entirely unique.
